Rescue FAQs

Hampshire County Pet Adoption Program is a non-profit rescue run by a group of dedicated volunteers. HCPAP is not a shelter but a foster organization. Founded on October 1, 1999, we have specialized in dog rescue, however, we rescue cats sometimes, too. Our purpose is to rescue pets in need. We then provide them with veterinary care, socialization, training and love. It is our goal to find a home for every pet that comes our way.
We adopt to anyone who has an approved application and is willing to drive the distance to adopt a new best friend!

Additional adoption info

Our adoption fee on our dogs is $250.00. On puppies $50.00 is returned upon proof of spay/neuter. Puppies are up to date on their vaccines and have been dewormed. Adults have been spayed or neutered, heartworm tested, vaccinated, and kept up to date on their flea/tick, and heartworm preventative. The adoption fee for kittens/cats is $75.00. All cats are FIV/FeLV tested and vaccinated. On kittens, $25.00 is returned to owner upon proof of spay or neuter.
