Rescue FAQs

We are a 501C Non-profit rescue that pulls from private citizens who are unable to care for their dog. Also, we have a Promise for Puppies Program in which we take unwanted litters and spay the mother dog absolutely free.

We also have a low income, low cost spay/neuter program.
Since 2009, we have rescued and placed over 4000 dogs.
Ohio County, Kentucky is our main focus. We do out-of-area adoptions to pre-qualified homes. We have USDA approved transport to the northeast states. Transport fee is not included in the adoption fee.

Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
    1. Submit Application with veterinarian name and phone number
  2. Interview
    1. Will have phone interview
  3. Approve Application
  4. Meet the Pet
    1. Out of State Adoptions do not apply.
  5. Sign Adoption Contract
  6. Pay Fee
    1. Out of state adoptions require PayPal account.
  7. Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccines, de-worming, heart worm preventive and flea and tick treatment.
We do not adopt our dogs to any homes that will chain or tie out.
