Walton County Animal Control's Adoption Process

1. Submit Application

2. Meet the Pet

The shelter staff will contact the approved applicant for a meet-and-greet.

Adoption fee $50; contract to spay/neuter (if not already done) must be signed.

Our adoption fee is only $50 (exact cash, check or credit) which includes a vaccination (DA2PPv for dogs; FVRCP for cats), deworming, and a voucher for a rabies vaccination from a participating veterinarian. GA State law requires all pets adopted from animal shelters be spayed/neutered within 30 days or by sexual maturity. Several generous local veterinarians have agreed to perform surgeries on pets adopted from animal control at a discounted rate. See more adoption information at www.waltonpets.nete. Send in your application today, or call 770-267-1322. We are open Monday to Friday, 8 to 5 (closed noon to 1 for lunch). If you get the voicemail, please leave a message.
