New England All Breed Rescue

Our mission is to help the many homeless, unwanted dogs sitting in high kill shelters - whatever their origin might be - find good homes, from wherever they are. New England All Breed Rescue is a network of rescuers and dog advocates who work to rehome unwanted or displaced dogs into new family homes. Many of our dogs come from the Midwest and the South where completely healthy dogs are euthanized via gassing or heart stick after three days in a high kill shelter. It is our goal to take these unwanted dogs where there are not enough homes and relocate them through our network of volunteers to New England where there is a shortage of adoptable dogs.

Rescue FAQs

Adopting a Dog

The first step in any adoption is an application with reference checks and a home visit. Our goal is to have the very best home for all our dogs. All the dogs listed are in private foster homes waiting to be adopted. We do not have a shelter you can visit.

Getting Your Dog

We use a licensed transport company to bring many of our dogs to New England. Some times adoptions are done on a long-distance basis and a dog goes directly from a foster home to a new northern home. We are always happy to let adopters meet their pets first where at all possible.

Working with us

We are an ALL volunteer rescue group, and we have hectic family and work schedules just like everyone else. We try to respond quickly and e-mail is the best way to reach us. If you do not hear from us, try again. We may have missed your e-mail.
