Rescue FAQs

McNairy County, located in Western TN, has no animal control or shelter for unwanted pets. All of our pups/dogs are unwanted and either abandoned on the side of the road or owner surrender. MCHS assists owners of the mom dog to get her spayed. All our dogs/pups are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, current on vaccinations, on monthly heartworm preventative and flea/tick meds and arrive with complete veterinary records and health certificate. Dogs over 6 months are heartworm tested and treated, if positive, prior to adoption.
We are located in West TN and are registered with the state of CT for adoptions. We only use USDA licensed canine transport services to move the pups/dogs north. Most of our pups/dogs are adopted without prior meeting and we have many references who will vouch for the integrity of this process. MCHS is a shelterless organization and rely on foster homes for the care of our pets; therefore you can be assured the pet you are interested in is well known and we are totally honest about them. We want to match you with a pup/dog who we believe will be a great addition to your family.

Additional adoption info

When interested in adopting one of our pets, please reach out via email and we will send you an application. We will review the application and verify vet references prior to your meeting our dog. Once approved and the adoption fee is paid, you can welcome your new friend to your home!
