Shelter FAQs

Since 1983 the McCook Humane Society has provided a temporary home for puppies and kittens, as well as adult dogs and cats. We are dedicated to finding permanent, loving homes for abused, neglected, and abandoned animals in Southwest Nebraska and Northwest Kansas. Our goal is to find appropriate, responsible and loving homes for the many pets in our care. We reserve the right to refuse an adoption if it would not be in the best interest of the animal and/or person involved.
