Spotted Dog Dalmatian Rescue

We are a group of volunteers that love deaf dogs and find them to be just as smart, smarter in many cases, than their hearing counterparts. They are very quick learners and always want to please.

We saw a need to have a rescue that just serves the deaf dog community. We educate the public on deaf dogs and the deaf dog myths. All of our volunteers either own now or have in the past, a deaf dog and we are committed to giving breeders an option to euthanization of deaf puppies by placing them with one of our loving foster homes until the perfect forever home can be found for them

Additional adoption info

We are a very unique rescue and the only one like it in the world. We only accept deaf dogs into our rescue.

The successful adopter will either have experience with a Dalmatian or experience with a deaf dog of another breed.

We do require a home visit before the adoption is finalized and the home must have a fence in area for the dog. Dalmatians are inside dogs so no adopter will be considered if the dog is to be housed outside.

Our adoption fees are $275.00 for puppies up to 1 year old; $250.00 for adults and $200.00 for seniors.

Applications are not filled on a first come, first serve basis. We will match the best family to a particular dog so that your lifestyle needs will fit those of the dogs.

Dalmatians are very high energy dogs so younger dogs need much exercise. If you are a couch potato and want one to snuggle with you then you might be best suited for an older adult or a senior.
