Additional adoption info
We ask that you complete an application online before arranging to visit the animal. All our animals are in foster homes. All our volunteers work full time jobs in addition to volunteer hours weekly for the shelter animals. After the application has been reviewed and references checked then a visit with the animal will be arranged. You may feel that this is too much to ask just to adopt an animal. However, our fosters have put hours of care, financial donations above the adoption fee and most important their hearts into the care of these animals. All our animals were given "a time to live" because a volunteer stepped forwarded during their last day/s at the shelter. We see animals dumped at our shelter weekly that owners state that they "rescued" or "adopted" them only to walk away with the once "loved" animal given a death sentence. There is caution when adopting our fosters because we want them to find their forever home...not one that ends back into a kill shelter. We want adopters who are ready to commit to the animal for the rest of its life....we want adopters who are ready to love and appreciate the heart of the animal. Our fees are the same as the Clark Co. Animal Shelter...Cats/Kittens are $50 and Dogs/Puppies are $70
