Shelter FAQs

We are a municipal agency mandated to shelter stray dogs and make every effort at their adoption. While in our care, we attempt to provide effective healthcare and training in order to facilitate a rewarding adoptive experience.
We serve the Town of Monroe and its villages only. We attempt a speedy adoption for strays/surrenders in our jurisdiction.

Additional adoption info

Normally, we charge an adoption fee plus a town license fee. Of course, if adopted out of our town, license fees for the appropriate locality would apply. We also conduct a home visit if possible or suitable references if not possible.
