Pet Pride of New York's Adoption Process

1. Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

2. Submit Application

The first step in adopting a cat from Pet Pride is making a visit to our sanctuary . We have many wonderful cats here who are just waiting to meet you! We will ask you to complete an adoption questionnaire and have a conversation with a Pet Pride Team member. Our team members have spent time getting to know each one of our cats, and they are experts at matching cats and people. Tell them what you are looking for in a pet, and let them help you find the perfect addition to your family.

For more information about our adoption process and adoption fees, please visit our website at or call us at 585.742.1630.

About Pet Pride of New York

Pet Pride of New York, Inc. saves the lives of homeless cats in our community by providing sanctuary, medical care, and placement into permanent adoptive homes. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and a New York State Registered Shelter/Rescue, and we operate a no-kill cat sanctuary and adoption center in Victor, New York. We also have a network of foster homes for our youngest kittens and our expectant and nursing moms.

Once a cat is admitted to Pet Pride, he or she stays with us for as long as it takes to find their new, forever home. We never euthanize cats in our care in order to make room for new cats. Our cats receive expert care from top veterinarians in our area, and they enjoy a clean, safe, and stimulating environment while they await adoption. They are free to roam in the sanctuary and take in the fresh air on the catios, and they enjoy playtime and attention from staff, volunteers, and visitors.

Pet Pride was founded in 1977. In 2000, we built a three-bedroom home to serve as a sanctuary and adoption center for our cats. Set on fifteen wooded acres in the town of Victor, New York, it is open to the public five days a week.

Pet Pride operates wholly on tax-deductible donations from the public. Thanks to the generosity of our donors and supporters, we are able to provide shelter and care for as many homeless or unwanted cats as our space allows.

Pet Pride advances the cause of animal welfare in our community by spaying and neutering all cats in our care and by connecting people with reliable information about responsible cat ownership, cat care and behavior, and other topics relating to the humane treatment of all cats.
