About Central Florida Weimaraner & Dog Rescue DBA Lifeline Dog Rescue

Central Florida Weimaraner & Dog Rescue inc Dba Lifeline Dog Rescue is a 501c3 registered non profit charity org. There’s more to the Lifeline Dog Rescue history that goes back several years before our dog rescue was incorporated.. A lifetime passion for dog rescue of Weimaraners and other breeds of dogs grew rapidly in those prior years, and our private operation became larger than most home-based dog rescues, and some corporate ones. We have worked as volunteers for most of our working lives.
2011 was a turning point as we incorporated Central Florida Weimaraner & Dog Rescue, Inc. to become a formal organization dba Lifeline Dog Rescue. 2014 will be a better year as the future plans of Lifeline Dog rescue are to double our physical size in anticipation of continued growth. In 2013 we changed from a facility to foster based rescue thus giving all our dogs a chance to lead a normal life while we search for that perfect forever home for them. For many of our dogs living in a loving caring home is a luxury. Each one of our dogs has a story and some worse than others. Having a foster based rescue enables us to evaluate our dogs needs, and work with any issues that we find. Our dogs are in evaluation for at least a month. Our dogs enjoy freedom to relax in a home and interact and join in family activities. Our intake level is low in comparison to other rescues, this is purely so we can concentrate on the dogs we have in our care they are showered with affection, Many of them have never had the option to experience a wonderful home life with interaction, and being able to run and play each day. Whether their stay with us is long or short we know we have made a difference to each one of the animals that come into Lifeline and wait patiently for their forever home. We do not care how long they are with us if it means we have to wait a while for the perfect match that is fine as long as we get it right. We are a rescue that knows our dogs inside out we know their needs and we do not compromise. It dosent mean to say we have bad applicants sometimes the dog an adopter is looking to adopt will not be a good match for various reasons. So please bear that in mind when you fall in love with a photograph. We are proud of our record Our return rate is pretty much non existent We have many happy memories and regular updates on our dogs after they have been adopted Our Org has grown over the tears in 2016 CFWR Lifeline purchased a property with more land for the Weimaraners to run and play They all live in the Lifeline house and have freedom to come and go. In 2015 we introduced a senior program for the abandoned seniors that need placement several are adopted for the ones that are not our program offers them a forever home with a forever foster and we take care of their medical needs this program has proven to be very successful and our seniors live a wonderful life in their golden years, CFWR Lifeline continues to grow and gain strength each year we have a wonderful team and a great backing through our Weimaraner community Many of our weimaraners are not posted so please check in on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/LifelineDogRescue .

Adopt a Pet is the easiest way for you to search for a new pet in Port Saint Lucie, FL.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
