Rescue FAQs

My husband and I have been members of previous rescue organizations around the city for the last 3 years, fostering over 30 dogs in our home. We currently have 3 rescue dogs that we have adopted, and although we have said that we are taking a "break" from the rescue scene, these fur babies seem to keep finding their ways into our hearts and our home. We are currently starting our own rescue, as we know how the process works. Our own dogs help in the rehabilitation process, and the dogs that get adopted from our rescue are trained and socialized and ready for their forever homes.

Additional adoption info

During the adoption process we require an in person interview and/or adoption application to be completed. Once reviewed, we like for our potential adopters to meet our animals in a neutral location, often with their own pets if they have them so that we can see if temperaments mesh. If all goes well, a contract is signed and a week in-home trial is initiated after the home visit is completed. All of our animals come fully vetted with spay/neuter. Adoption of puppies or kittens requires the adopter to attend the pre-determined vet appointments. Failure to make it to these appointments results in violation of adoption contract, which may result in the animal's return the rescue organization. Appointments may be rescheduled if approved by organization with prior authorization.
