Rescue FAQs

Saving Grace Animal Rescue is a Christian-based, nonprofit organization that strives to assist others with helping animals. We recognize how difficult and overwhelming it can be to rescue and foster animals so that is where we help. Although we do not have a shelter, we are able to foster animals through a network of wonderful volunteers. We also assist people by informing them of the resources located throughout Central Alabama that can help make their efforts that much easier. We are always in need of foster homes so the more we have, the more SGAR can help. Contact us if you or anyone you know of has the space and desire to take in a homeless pet while we find them their furever homes.
We serve Central Alabama.

Additional adoption info

Adoption fees for canines and felines are $100.00. If a puppy or kitten has not been sterilized at the time of adoption, a spay/neuter certificate is provided to the adopting parents. All applicants must fill out a nonbinding adoption application and adoption agreement. We do perform vet reference checks on all applicants and will perform a home inspection for all bully breeds.
For out-of-state adoptions, an additional charge will be included to cover the cost of transporting the dog as well as the cost of the health certificate to travel across state lines (this will be an additional $150.00 thus a total of $250.00 for the adoption fee).
