Rescue FAQs

We are committed to the happiness and well being of senior & all age special needs dogs. Those in need of a place to live out the remainder of their lives in the happiness they deserve. These dogs are the forgotten ones! The ones most often euthanized because of age or special need problems. We do not believe age & special needs is a death sentence or the health problems that usually accompany senior dogs. Such as sight loss, hearing loss, skin conditions and arthritis. We believe in helping senior & special needs dogs have comfort, rest and happiness ! Visit BarknRest.com for more information.
We also strive to help healthy senior dogs in shelters find happy forever homes! We do prefer adoptions within a 400 mile radius of the Dallas Ft Worth area. However, other adoptions can be on a case by case basis. We do NOT allow our dogs to be shipped cargo on airlines.

Additional adoption info

Adoption fee is $150 this covers all vetting expenses incurred. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, dental cleaning, micro-chipped and on monthly preventatives prior to being adopted.
