Areas Chattooga county animal control serves

We are a small shelter in the city of Summerville, Georgia. We take in animals from our county of about 25,000 people. Our volunteer group provides vaccines, medical care, contact rescue groups, and help with transport for our dogs and cats.

Adoption fees are as follows
Female dogs, $85.00 which includes spay and rabies vaccine
Male dogs, $75.00 which includes neuter and rabies vaccine
Female cats, $45.00, which includes spay and rabies vaccine
Male cats, $35.00, which includes neuter and rabies vaccine

We do require references and adoption contracts.

About Chattooga county animal control

We are a county run facility but have the support group of volunteers that provide vaccines and medical care for our dogs and cats. They also provide foster homes, contact rescue groups and provide transport for our pets.
We love each and every pet that comes in to our shelter and believes that they deserve a second chance for a loving family.

Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
