Mew Haven

We are a very small rescue group. There are really only two of us altho a good friend is possibly going to join. We have 4 fosters & are always in desperate need of more. We not only adopt out needy cats but we subsidize low cost spay/neeuter for people who need help with their cats. Sometimes we will pay the entire bill & sometimes only half - according to their ability to pay. Some of the local vets give us helpful discounts in this. We will also take cats to the monthly Spayathon in Madison, held by the Dane County Friends of Felinies rescue organization. We are also fortunate in receiving donations of canned cat food from Nestle Purina. We pick up this food on pallets & store them here in Spring Green. The food is then bagged, 24 cans to a bag, & given out to people at the local monthly Food Pantry who have registered their cats with us. We estimate that we are feeding approximately 250 cats per month in this way.
