Black Dog Rescue of Tennessee

We are a self-funded, family run rescue for primarily black dogs. Our rescue was inspired by our beautiful black pointer (whom we rescued) Abby. Abby died unexpectedly of pneumonia and we were heartbroken. We all felt that she was so happy to be rescued by us, that she would want us to continue to find homes for other black dogs. We concentrate on black dogs because they are usually the last dogs to be adopted. In addition to finding homes for the dogs, we do our best to educate the public about the plight of homeless dogs, and in particular, the plight of black dogs.
