Rescue FAQs

California Pit Bull Rescue (CPR) is a 501(c)3, organized for the purpose of rescuing at risk "pit bull" type dogs and facilitating social change to abolish the abuse, over breeding and mis-education surrounding the breed. CPR will achieve these goals through a fostering network, fundraising programs, educational initiatives and financial/physical support for needy guardians of pit bull type dogs.
CPR currently covers the entire San Francisco Bay Area. We rescue pit bull type dogs (and friends) from local shelters, rehabilitate them and find them forever homes. We also host monthly pack walks and training classes in the East Bay.

Additional adoption info

Our standard adoption fee is $300 and includes the dog is spay/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. We have an adoption questionnaire, agreement, as well as home delivery requirement for all of our dogs.
