Shelter FAQs

We are a small municipal animal shelter that strives to find stray dogs and cats fur-ever homes and reunite lost pets with their families.

Adoptions are in person only, walk-ins welcome!

We have a meet and greet yard that can be used to meet your potential adoption. We always welcome and recommended you bring your current fur family with you to make sure they get along with potential new family additions.

Adoption steps

  1. Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
    1. Give us a call at 469-790-1104 for any questions, or come by our shelter during our business hours to meet any of our available pets!
  2. Meet the Pet
    1. You are welcome to bring your own pet for a meet-and-greet as well during our business hours, no appointment needed!
  3. Sign Adoption Contract
    1. Fill out and sign the adoption application at the time of adoption and pay the adoption fee. You get an adoption packet and some goodies.

Our shelter adoption fees are : Dogs $60 Cats $35

All our shelter guests are current on vaccinations, microchipped, and spay or neutered if they are the appropriate age.

If you adopt a puppy or kitten who is too young to be spayed or neutered at that time, the adoption contract will have a spay or neuter date on it, it will need to be performed by the contracted date by the new adoptive parents at one of our clinics.
