Southern Skies Labrador Rescue & Adoption, Inc. (SSLR) is a non-profit dedicated to the rescue and adoption of Labradors and other working dog breeds that have been abandoned at Alabama kill shelters, owner surrenders and strays. We strive to communicate for the voiceless by working closely with local and national animal rescues and other groups for the benefit of animal welfare and to promote changes in our local Alabama laws. We dedicate ourselves to educate and communicate the importance of spaying and neutering your pets to our local and neighboring communities.
We rescue out of North Alabama and serve adopters locally including; Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia. We also adopt to the Northeast and Midwest USA.

Southern Skies Labrador Rescue & Adoption Inc., goal is to place homeless dogs into loving homes and families. We take special care to match the right home with the right dog, ensuring a lifetime of love for both the pet and the adopter. You are required to fill out a pre-adoption application to get qualified, provide vet and other references, allow a home inspection and sign adoption agreement and pay an adoption donation.
