Shelter FAQs

In 1987, an initial attempt was made to organize a local humane society in Caroline County. While this attempt did not succeed, those same dedicated volunteers were not deterred. From our humble beginnings 30 years ago, to where we are today, we are proud to be called “the little shelter that could”. We provide service to our community through pet adoption, Rabies Clinics, Trap-Neuter-Return, Pet Pantry, Pet Lost & Found, Re-homing, Intake Diversion, Cremation
Primarily Caroline County, Maryland; however, we do out-of-county and out-of-state adoptions
  • 1. Submit Application
  • 2. Interview
  • 3. Meet the Pet

Additional adoption info

We have an adoption fee to cover some of the veterinary care your new pet received. We try to make our adoption process very straightforward and helpful to find the pet you are seeking to add to your family.
