Rescue FAQs

Our group is made up of 100% volunteers and we do it to help the dachshunds. Being a voice for the dogs when there is no voice. We are always looking out for the best interest of the dogs.
We are dedicated to saving dachshunds in shelters, owner surrenders, puppy mill throwaways, strays, etc... We provide safe, loving foster homes and proper vet care until a furever home is found. We serve in the Greater Omaha, Nebraska and Lincoln, Nebraska areas with chapters located in Des Moines, Iowa and in Kansas. We have completed adoptions as far away as Denver and Minnesota.

Please visit our website at: http://www.nebraskadachshundrescue.org/adoptinfo.htm to complete an application for adoption. There is a $250.00 adoption fee for most dogs and the completion of the application begins the process of reference checks and your home visit. There is a contract requirement which notes that if you ever decide to not house your pet any longer you will contact and turn the back into us.
