Rescue FAQs

Our Mission: My Second Home Rescue is a no-kill organization whose mission is to rescue and re-home stray, neglected and abandoned dogs in high kill shelters especially those facing euthanasia due to over population in these shelters. Our goal is to also supply needed care, medical attention including being spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, to provide them with re-socialization and to place them in permanent adoptive homes where they will be properly cared for and become part of the family. We strive to increase public awareness and educate them of the overpopulation problem and finding ways to end the euthanasia of so many animals. We believe that all living creatures should be treated with dignity and respect. We provide all animals we take care of with a loving, safe and secure second home until they are placed in their forever home. Check us out on Facebook! Just search for My Second Home Rescue. Info/updates on dogs updated there often if you're looking for up to date information!
We are a non-profit no-kill PACFA licensed animal rescue located in northern Colorado. Foster based at this time, but working to build a permanent facility in the future. Though the majority of our adopters are located in northern Colorado (Fort Collins, Greeley, Loveland, etc), we have had adopters come from all over Colorado, as well as Wyoming and Nebraska.
