Boxer Rescue of Vermont's Adoption Process

1. Submit Application

2. Home Check

After application is verified /phone interviews done, a Volunteer will schedule a Home Check, Family interview and Meet your existing pets.

3. Meet the Pet

All human and canine family members must come to Southern VT to Meet Pet, Meetups are Scheduled on Saturday Mornings in So.VT only.

4. Sign Adoption Contract

If meeting pet goes well & all approve then your Adoption can take place that day, Pay fee and sign adoption & care agreement.

5. Take the Pet Home

If you are interested in adopting a dog from us please read entire write-up given here.You will find the answers to most questions are in the pet's description, If a dog is still listed here then we have not chosen it's home - so submit your application right away to be considered. Please donate generously, the dogs lives depend on it

YOUR PRIVACY IS IMPORTANT TO US, Therefore we do not Sell or share your information with any outside entity. Your information is only used to help us determine if the facts you state about yourself are true and to determine if you would be a good match for the dog you are applying for.

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic all scheduled in person fundraisers have been cancelled or put on hold, as a result the dogs are in Dire Need of donations to cover rescue expenses such as spay/neuter, vaccines and other needed tests, treatments and recommended medical care,Flea/ tick and Heart-worm prevention, grooming, quarantine, transport and necessary crates, beds, leashes, dishes, food, medications and their other rescue and care related expenses. . Dogs in the south also are depending on your donations to cover their shelter pull fees, boarding, vet checks and travel permits, transport north, quarantine etc, Please Donate now, we are all volunteers so everything given goes to the dogs, as it should. thanks in advance.

About Boxer Rescue of Vermont

We are a volunteer run rescue that saves kill-sheller, abandoned or unwanted Boxers and other brachycephalic breeds. We give each Boxer the best quality of life in carefully selected volunteer foster homes where they live like family until it's fully vetted,crate trained,rehabilitated & the right forever home is found. We believe no animal should be put to sleep for being stray, homeless, abused,or unclaimed at a kill shelter. We Love all dogs.. But we specialize in rescue of Boxers, English bulldogs, and Boston terriers; Thank you for considering becoming part of our rescue family through adoption!

Come Meet Boxer Rescue of Vermont's Pets

Due to volunteer time limitations before we can setup a meeting with pets, Submit your Adoption application, then once we have verified info, & had successful home visit we will then setup a meet & greet with Volunteer and potential Boxer/Dog, If all are in agreement that meet and greet is a success adoption can take place that day with payment of adoption donation and singed adoption and care contract.

DOWN THE ROAD, If For ANY reason at ANY time during pet's life you no longer are able to properly care for it, can no longer keep it, or no longer want it, then you dog must be returned to us. We do not permit adopters to re-home dogs to anyone for any reason. DOGS MUST BE RETURNED TO US, because we make a commitment to each dog for it's entire life to look out for it and to protect it.

*All Meetups appointments are Saturday mornings only (we are part time volunteers here who work Full time jobs, have families, pets, kids and other obligations). Additionally, Under no circumstance are potential adopters allowed to visit the foster home. This is for safety and privacy of all concerned.
