Rescue FAQs
We want to make an impact on the countless number of animals euthanized each year. We aim to assist our community in rehabilitating dogs so they can become part of a new family.
We serve Roseville, Citrus Heights, Antelope, Sacramento and surrounding areas.
Adoption steps
- Submit ApplicationThis way we can determine if your situation is a good fit for what the dog needs.
- InterviewOne of our volunteers will give you a call to learn more. If if goes well, then we'll schedule a meet and greet!
- Meet the PetSince we are a foster-based rescue, all meet and greets will be at the discretion of the dog's foster family. You will coordinate with them.
Additional adoption info
We are grass roots and we depend on adoption fees and donations to continue taking new animals. Our adoption fees vary and they help us with medical expenses, food and supplies for all dogs in our care. Each adopter must compete an application form on our website at www.havendogrescue.org before meeting the pet. We also do a home check prior to signing an adoption contract.
