Rescue FAQs

Strictly volunteer licensed corporation, not for profit, New Hope Pet Rescue was established in 2013 and is dedicated to saving homeless, stray, and unwanted dogs not only in Michigan but throughout the Midwest. We are not for profit. Our founder and members all work full time jobs in addition to running this rescue. We promote sterilization and education as we attempt to change the plight of shelter dogs across the US.
At this time New Hope Pet Rescue is a very small rescue. Because of this we are only able to serve Lansing, Saginaw, Flint, and the surrounding areas. It is our hope that in the near future we will be able to include other cities and states.

Additional adoption info

FEES: New Hope Pet Rescue tries to keep the fees to a minimum. Our fees range based on vetting, and other expenses incurred in the rescue process.

CONTRACTS: The first step in the adoption process is the completion of the adoption application. New Hope Pet Rescue will call references, landlords, vets and any other person necessary as part of the screening process.

REQUIREMENTS: Prior to adoptions being finalized home checks MUST be completed. Anyone who will not allow New Hope Pet Rescue to complete a home check will be automatically disqualified to adopt.

Donations: We rely on monetary donations, gift card donations (gas and pet store), supply donations (new/used blankets & towels, dog food, toys, leashes, dishes, cleaning supplies, etc.). We also need supply drop-off locations. If you have an easy to locate home or possible business location and would be willing to allow supplies to be dropped off, please let us know. PayPal donations can be made ...to newhopepetrescue@gmail.com.
