Rescue FAQs

We are a small rescue group based in Snyder, TX. All of our pets are kept in private homes by volunteer fosters in the Snyder, Sweetwater and Lubbock areas. Many of our dogs are transported to adopters out of state while most of our cats are adopted locally in the Lubbock area.

The rescue started in September of 2012 with rescuing one dog, and we quickly expanded our program. In our 10+ years we have rescued thousands of animals from west Texas streets and shelters.

We are always looking for new fosters, volunteers and can always use donations. For every dog or cat we can save there are 10X more that we can't. Please email us for information on fostering or volunteering!
We are located in Snyder, TX and have taken in over 2000 dogs since January 1, 2013. We are incorporated and verified as a 501c3 non-profit organization. We do all of our fostering through private fosters. All of our dogs and cats are vetted (shots, wormed, spay/neutered ) and are microchipped. Our primary base is Snyder & Sweetwater, but we also attend adoption events in Lubbock and take in dogs from surrounding areas as space is available.

Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
    1. Once the application is completed, we will forward it to the foster.
  2. Interview
    1. This can happen virtually or in person depending on distance from foster pet to adopter.
  3. Meet the Pet
    1. This is part of the Interview process - talking with the animal's foster parent to make sure it's the right fit.
  4. Approve Application
    1. Once the foster has agreed that your home is a good match for the dog or cat you are approved to adopt!
  5. Pay Fee
    1. We offer online payment options such as Venmo & Paypal or Square invoice to pay via debit or credit card. Cash is also accepted.
  6. Take the Pet Home
    1. The Pet is all yours! Follow up with your foster parent with any questions during the adjustment period.
