Areas Texas Pawprints Cat & Kitten Rescue Serves

We are located in Dallas, Texas. We do not have a shelter building; instead, our volunteers keep rescues in their homes until furrever homes are found.

We are small, informal and receive no money or grants from any state, city or federal entity. Donations are always welcome, and may be made at Paypal.com. Our Paypal ID is hairball@texaspawprints.org

Texas Pawprints Cat & Kitten Rescue's Adoption Process

We ask all potential adoptors to complete an application/contract. Next, we interview all potential adoptors. We ask about previous pets owned, if all family members want to adopt, and the conditions in which the animal will live.

Generally we will not finalize an adoption if the animal will be allowed outdoors unsupervised, or if all family members do not agree to the adoption. We also discourage declawing of cats.

Our adoption fee is $100 for one cat or $160 for two and covers a test for FIV and feline leukemia, at least one vaccination, a microchip, collar and tag, and a spay or neuter surgery. All pets are wormed and vaccinated.

About Texas Pawprints Cat & Kitten Rescue

Our group's founders came from other cat rescue groups as we wanted to accept the cats others would not accept; older animals, injured, FIV positive and black cats/kittens. We also assist with TNR and have several traps to loan. We are small and informal, and always welcome new volunteers in any capacity.

Come Meet Texas Pawprints Cat & Kitten Rescue's Pets

We hold adoption events every Sunday afternoon at the PetSmart on Greenville Ave just north of Lovers Lane in Dallas. We also show our animals at the Petsmart at Cityplace on Haskell Ave and the Petsmart in Mesquite. Please check out our Facebook page or call/text 214-912-2573 to find out when our next adoption event will be held.

If you're not able to visit an adoption event, send us an email and we can arrange to meet you at a local business or your vet's office.

Email hairball@texaspawprints.org for weekend adoption event starting times.
