We have no fees for adoptions, although donations are appreciated. We require you to have a tank set up and ready to our standards, which we will inform you of when you contact us. We also ask you to sign an adoption contract.

Home Shell Rescue is a small scale land hermit crab rescue. Our founder, Jessica Goodway, has always loved animals, and became interested in land hermit crabs ever since she saw them at the gift shop kiosks in Virginia Beach. After a great deal of research, Jessica was inspired to build a 235 gallon custom hermit crab habitat to house crabs in need.
