Areas Hudson Valley Animal Rescue Serves

Hudson Valley Animal Rescue is a registered 501c3 non profit organization. Our mission is to rescue animals in need and find them their perfect forever homes. We are a NO kill rescue and 99% of all animals we take in are either dumped or on death row and days, sometimes hours of being euthanized.

Hudson Valley Animal Rescue's Adoption Process

HVARS has an application process which usually takes 1-3 days depending on the amount of animals we have in our rescue and the amount of applications we receive in a given week. If you are local and would like to visit our facility we are open from 12-4 Tuesday-Sunday.
Our adoption fees range from $175-$500. The reason for the wide margin in price is that every dog needs a little different (more or less) care. Some dogs come in fully vetted and it doesn’t cost us nearly as much as ones who come in with nothing done. Puppies fees, 2-8 months of age are always $400-$500. The adoption fee includes the animals spay/neuter, deworming, microchipping, and current vaccines. All dogs over 8 months old are heartworm/lymes tested as well. They are all current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative.
The adoption fee for the cats and kittens is $100 for any kitten under 2 year and $50 for any cat over 2 year. This includes the spay/neuter, deworming, current vaccines, and felv/fiv testing. The cats are all current on flea/tick preventive as well.
If you are interested in coming to our facility we have open hours from 12-4 Tuesday- Sunday. You do not need an appointment or to fill out an application to come during our open hours.
