About The Humane Society of Davidson County

For more than 35 years, the HSDC has worked to reduce the pet overpopulation problem and alleviate animal suffering. We have educated the public about the needs of animals and promoted laws that benefit animals. Over the years, we have prevented thousands of unwanted puppies and kittens from being born through our spay/neuter programs (over 15,000 surgeries), thereby working to reduce the serious problem of overpopulation. The Humane Society of Davidson County is a non-profit, no-kill volunteer organization dedicated to the welfare of animals.

Come Meet The Humane Society of Davidson County's Pets

Our adoptable pets are in foster homes but we bring them to adoption fairs at Petsmart in Lexington, NC the first and third Saturday of each month unless we have other special events to attend . We will announce on our Facebook page when we have adoption fairs.

If you want to schedule a meet and greet with our fosters, that is done through each individual foster. They will set up a time and place to meet according to their schedule.
