Areas Red Sky Rescue serves
Our primary focus area is Jackson County, Indiana. We do not have a public shelter facility; we place homeless pets in qualified foster family homes while they wait to be adopted. We also explore all available resources to find each pet the best forever home.
Red Sky Rescue's adoption process

Submit Application
EMAIL us at redskyresq@gmail.com, and request your PRE-foster or PRE-adopt questionnaire.
2.
Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
Once we receive/review/approve your questionnaire, we will contact you to schedule your appointment to visit and meet the adoptable pet.
3.
Take the Pet Home
At your visit, you may sign the adoption contract, pay the fee, and take your new pet home the same day

We have a simple questionnaire we send by email attachment. Once approved we have an adoption fee which varies and a one-page adoption agreement to complete before the adoptable pet can go home with a new family. Health records will be provided to all adopters or foster families.

Red Sky Rescue is a private 501c3 foster home network in Indiana. We work to find new homes for pets who need to be rehomed. We are committed to giving every dog a chance for a good life with a new responsible owner. We are a limited intake facility, and we never euthanize healthy, adoptable pets. When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
