Rescue FAQs

MOBILE MUTTS RESCUE was born from our successful Volunteer Based Rescue Transport which has operated in the midwest since 2008. It fulfills our volunteers desire to "do more" to help dogs in high kill shelters in the south move to the safety of foster based rescues. We are based out of Champaign IL and operate in Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota. To learn more about Mobile Mutts Rescue Transports please visit us online at: http://www.mobile-mutts.org
We operate out of Central Illinois with fosters throughout the Midwest

Additional adoption info

THE ADOPTION PROCESS; We often hear people in the community complaining that it is "harder" to adopt a rescue dog than it is to adopt a child. i'm not sure that I agree with that analogy, however I do admit that the process of adopting a rescue can be daunting. What you need to keep in mind is this, our furkids have already been through traumatic experiences, they have often been abandoned or abused in the past and we are here to make sure that they never have a "bad day again" and end up alone and frightened or in a shelter ever again. We are their voice and their advocates. We are the front line defending them from those who would hurt them. So, as you move through the adoption process and prepare to open your heart and home to one of our furkids, please remember that although your home may be the best possible home for you, our job is to make sure it's the best possible home for them.

The first step in the process is to complete a non-binding adoption application at: https://secure.jotformpro.com/Patty4Rescues/adoptionapp and let us know which of our dogs you are interested in meeting; The Application is the first step in Adopting one of our dogs, but does not guarantee adoption.

You will work with an adoption coordinator who is often a member of the foster family to complete the approval process and if approved, we will begin to transition the furkid to your home! Please remember, we are committed to making this a smooth transition for our furkids, and for you!
