Shelter FAQs

Warrick Humane Society was incorporated in 1983 and opened its No Kill shelter on Vann Road in 1997. Our mission is to end the animal overpopulation crisis in the community, to find homes for homeless and neglected animals and to provide educational programs and community services for the mutual benefit of animals and people.
We are located in Newburgh, Indiana, but we will adopt to anywhere, provided you arrange for transportation and meet our adoption requirements.

Additional adoption info

It may take us several days to reply to an email, so if you need an immediate answer, please call our shelter at 812-858-1132.

An adoption application must be filled out prior to being approved for adoption. A contract must be signed stating that you will not give away or sell the pet, and if you must get rid of it at any time, the animal must be returned to us. Adoption fees vary per animal. Fees are refundable up to 48 hours, minus a $25 processing fee. Puppy adoptions are non refundable.
