Rescue FAQs

Our mission is to help homeless pets! There was a huge need in the Manhattan community for another rescue effort. We are a caring network of foster homes who provide TLC and time for that pet to find their 'furever' home. We are all volunteers, dedicated to our mission. We believe that euthanasia of perfectly adoptable pets is unacceptable. The sterilization of pets is critical in reducing the number of unwanted pets, as well as closing down bad breeders everywhere.
We are serving the greater Manhattan, Kansas area. We pull pets off of death row at shelters throughout the state of Kansas.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is easy; we require an application in which we contact references and vets. Once approved the adopter signs an adoption contract that specifies that the pet will come back to us if they can not keep the pet int he future. We consider all of our adoptions as 'trial' adoptions; if the pet is not a good fit for the family, the pet comes back to us, no problem. Our adoptions fees for adult dogs are $200. For puppies the fee is $200 with a $80 deposit returned when the pet is spayed/neutered. Adoption fees for cats is $80.
