Rescue FAQs

CAFA’s mission is to improve the lives of dogs and cats in Oregon. CAFA educates and works with the public and other nonprofit organizations on pet overpopulation issues such as spay/neuter, implementation of trap/neuter/return (TNR) programs as well as advocacy on behalf of pets in Marion County. We rescue cats and kittens, provide them with vet care and adopt them into good homes.
We are based in Salem, Oregon but many people in/around Portland, Eugene and Corvallis have adopted our cats/kittens.

Additional adoption info

We have potential adopters complete an application form and sign a contract to finalize the adoption. Our fees ($25-$75) vary depending on the age of the cat/kitten as well as other variables.
