Rescue FAQs

We are a state non profit as well as fed non profit rescue group. We only work with dogs/puppies. Typically we do have a few in our group that are being re-conditioned because of issue they went through prior to ending in rescue. We pull from kill shelters, and once with us they are completely safe regardless of how long it takes to find they're forever homes, and if for some reason we are unable to ensure they can be re-homed they live their live out here with us. We have concrete dog runs, off leash play, as well as wading pools and creeks for them to run and play and enjoy cooling off. We are able to separate personalities, sexes, sizes when needed, they are also allowed inside the home for some much needed snuggling. I (Nancy Tomlin) started volunteering at the local county ran facility when I was 15-16yrs old I am 44 now. This is all i know, i don't do it for self recognition but for what they give me in return.
Our onsite adoptions are held at the Petsmart in Douglasville, GA. As well as on pre-arranged dates at the Petsmart in Newnan GA

Additional adoption info

our adoption requires an interview first to ensure this potential home is the est "match" for the dog/puupy for consideration. During this part references are discussed and/or contacted. Our fees are between 100.00-300.00 not "breed specific" but dogs needs and or some "types" are easier/quicker to be adopted and raising the fee helps to recover cost of the ones that take a little longer to be placed. Our fees cover they're complete vetting to include vaccines, spay/neuter, flea/HW testing and treatment. As well as they are not placed up for adoption until after the 10 day quarantine and temperament tested. While in our care awaiting adoptions we work on training basic commands/ manners, including "paws down" house breaking, crate training. And we strongly encourage the new pet families to continue this by signing them up for obedience classes for the bonding as well as to complete what we have started.
