Rescue FAQs

DOGzHAUS (pronounced as DOG HOUSE) is a small, Los Angeles based CA registered non profit dog rescue organization that was formed to give a second chance to the shelter dogs. We are a 501(c)(3) rescur group and your donations are tax deductible.100% of your donations benefit our rescue dogs. The organization is run by volunteers and funded entirely by donations and adoption fees. All our dogs are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on their shots and micro chipped before being adopted. While at the rescue, medical care is provided for each dog based on their individual needs. We can't guarantee the future health of the dog, and adopters are encouraged to take the dog to their own veterinarian for a thorough exam. Our Goal: *Rescuing dogs from life threatening situations at animal shelters and elsewhere. *Finding their permanent loving homes with qualified owners. *Assisting owners of dogs who can no longer keep them to find them new homes. *Educating the public about the advantages of adopting dogs from shelters and rescue organizations, and about the need for spaying and neutering dogs. *Educating dog owners and prospective owners with dogs about their proper care and training, and about other aspects of each breed.

Additional adoption info

If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please go to our website: www.dogzhaus.org and fill out the adoption application form first. All dogs 6 months and older adopted through us are spayed or neutered, current on their vaccines and microchipped. Because the minimum adoption donation rarely covers the costs associated with each dog, we ask our adopters to help us spread the word about the important work that we do. Our adoption donation minimum is $275 for adult medium to large dogs, $250 for small adult dogs, $325 for puppies 1 year and under (any size) and $180-200 seniors 8 years and older to recover their neuter/spay, microchip, UTD shots, food/dog supplies at their foster home, other medical care if needed. We receive hundreds of emails everyday. If you email us to express "I am interested" or "the dog is so cute," please fill out the application first. Our rescue is run by volunteers only and all of us have a full time job. We sometimes do not have a time to respond all messages unless you are serious for adoption.
