Rescue FAQs
We are a very small group of volunteers who pull dogs from rural, high-kill shelters and place them in safe & loving foster homes until they are adopted. We do not have a physical shelter or kennel. All of our dogs are in individual family foster homes. We will move the dog for a meet & greet once an adoption application is approved.
We currently serve the Eastern Panhandle of WV and surrounding counties of MD, VA, PA. Technically, about a 50-mile radius of Martinsburg, WV.
Adoption steps
- Submit ApplicationOur adoption application is on the left side of our website under Forms/Applications. Click NEW beside Adoption Application.
- Home CheckWe require that one of our volunteers completes a home visit as part of the application process.
- Approve ApplicationIt takes about 10 days to process an adoption application. Please be patient. We're a tiny rescue, and all volunteer.
- Meet the PetOnce approved, the adopter and pet will meet in a public location for a meet & greet.
- Sign Adoption ContractWe require that adopters be at least 23 years old.

Our adoption fees are listed with each animal's page. We do require an online adoption application, home visit, and background check. It typically takes 10 days from application to decision.
