Rescue FAQs

The purpose of Jackson County Happy Tails is to take in strays and owner-relinquished pets, and to rescue adoptable dogs from the local pound. Once they have been evaluated and deemed adoptable, we will strive to give them quality care until they are adopted out. We will also provide education for the community to increase responsible pet ownership.
Based out of Texas, we are able to transport our animals anywhere in the United States

Additional adoption info

We do not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Each dog comes spay/neutered (fixed), up to date on vaccinations and rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice. They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative. ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED (including transport from San Antonio to Washington)IN THE ADOPTION FEE OF $350.00. Upon adoption dogs are transported to Washington, we provide video, photos etc to enable you to make a fantastic choice in your new baby!

All our pups and dogs are socialized and we try to provide you a good understanding of the dogs personality. Please visit our website for more information about what we do. The website is updated as often as possible: www.yourtxrescueconnection.org. Please contact Meagan at m_george_@hotmail.com to begin process to adopt one of our pups. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption.
