Adopting a Friend is the most important commitment humans can do for themselves as well as for the pet. It is a huge decision and one that should never be taken lightly. Understand that the dog you get from us has already lost it's home and therefore our goal is to make this placement final and forever. Pet adoption is a lifetime commitment that we take very seriously. If you are interested in adopting, we ask that you email us at equisetteracres@yahoo.com and we will get back to you with our adoption information.

About Min Pins & More Rescue, Inc - Ohio

Our Mission is simple. To rescue Miniature Pinschers who are unwanted, abandoned, neglected, mistreated or are victims of inhumane treatment and then find responsible, loving and lifetime homes. To educate potential owners about the Miniature Pinscher and their special requirements, to ensure an educated decision when selecting the breed. To counsel owners on solving problems to help them keep their Miniature Pinscher. To educate animal control officers and shelter staff on how to identify the Miniature Pinscher and the special requirements and characteristics of the breed to aid in proper evaluation and placement.

Our Dogs are evaluated by a veterinarian for common health issues, are given required medical care, spayed or neutered and microchipped. We screen every applicant very carefully to ensure that they understand the responsibilities involved in caring properly for a pet. Our responsibility is to place our dogs into homes that will best meet their needs, both physically and emotionally. We look for people with patience, loving hearts, and an understanding of a min pin's needs. A detailed application from which we conduct reference verifications and a home visit with all household members present are pre-adoption requirements. A follow up visit may be scheduled at a future date to ensure that everything is working out well for the dog as well as the family. During this process, our pets are safely and lovingly cared for in private, approved foster homes in which we observe and evaluate each minpin for temperament and behavior, continue with the pet's socialization and training, and provide for their physical well being and health.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
