Additional adoption info
The first step to desert tortoise adoption is to fill in an application at http://www.tortoisegroup.org/adoption.php
A tortoise needs a burrow built to Tortoise Group safety standards, plants to eat, a water dish, and an escape proof yard. Fill out an Adoption Application first to find out how to get your yard ready! The adoption fee of $75 does go to help care for other homeless tortoises.
If you live in Las Vegas, we do a yard consultation to help you get ready.
If you live in Nevada near Las Vegas, Reno, or Elko, Tortoise Group invites you to visit our website and fill out an AdoptionApplication at http://www.tortoisegroup.org/adoption.php.
Due to federal and state laws Tortoise Group is only able to adopt to residents of Nevada.
