Additional adoption info

The first step in adopting from Keokuk Animal Services is completing our adoption application. Once approved you can adopt any dog or cat that is ours (there is a 7 day stray holding period.) Our adoption fee is $175 for dogs/$100 for cats which covers over $300 of veterinary care for the animal. All animals are spayed/neutered (as long as over 14 weeks old) prior to adoption (adoption fee covers spay/neuter at a participating vet if under 14 weeks) as well as current on vaccines, deworming, and flea/heartworm prevention. Microchipping for dogs is also covered for dogs within the adoption fee, but is an additional $10 for cats/kittens.
