Rescue FAQs
New Beginning Animal Rescue is dedicated to pet adoption. Our organization takes in unwanted, abandoned, abused, or stray pets and attempts to find suitable homes for each of them. Our rescue group is created and run by Pedro Rosario who worked for 16 years at the NYC Animal Care & Control. He began this rescue in 2010 because he felt he could make a difference saving the lives of unwanted pets by providing a safe atmosphere where no animal would be euthanized due to lack of space. He, his staff, and volunteers help to train, play with, handle medical issues, and assist with solving behavior problems and socialize pets. All these animals are well cared for and loved until a permanent home can be found for them. New Beginning Animal Resuce is the ONLY no-kill rescue in the Bronx.
We serve all communities within New York City as well as other areas in NY, NJ, CT. We serve all communities that are geographical within reason for us to do a home visit prior to adoption.
Additional adoption info
The adoption process includes completing an application, checking a veterinary and personal references, conducting a phone interview and a home visit. Once the process is complete, the adopter will be asked to sign an adoption contract.
