McLennan Animal Rescue Coalition (MARC) is a 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization. We are foster-home based which means we have no physical shelter where we house our animals. All of our awesome adoptable pets are raised in volunteer foster homes with tons of love. We are located in McLennan County, TX.
While we do adopt animals to individuals who live outside of our immediate area (including all/most of Texas), we do not process out-of-state adoptions at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
MARC does not take pets from the public.

Our adoption fees vary from FREE to $75 per animal, we accept cash, check or credit card. Our adoption process consists of three items: 1) first, the online Adoption Application (see below) is completed, 2) once the application is approved, a simple adoption contract is signed and finally, 3) adoption fee is paid.
We are very happy to arrange meetings between individual pets and interested adopters either before an application has been submitted or after. Just email us at ADOPT@MARCPets.org to set up a meeting with one of our rockstar pets!

At this time, MARC focuses solely on rescuing shelter animals who are at high risk of euthanasia at the Waco Shelter. As of early 2015, MARC has saved over 550 'death-row' pets thanks to foster parents, donors and adopters.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?
Why should you adopt?
Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.
What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?
When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
