Rescue FAQs
New Leash on Life Dog Rescue is a foster based dog rescue that takes in dogs from local owner surrenders as well as rescues dogs from high kill shelters in other states. We also work with local shelters when they have a dog who is just not doing well in a shelter environment. We are an all breed rescue and we have dogs of all shapes and sizes. We rescue dogs who are need medical attention as well as those who are healthy and just looking for a great family.
We are based out of La Crosse, WI but adopt pets all over the state of Wisconsin and into MN and IA.
Adoption steps
- Submit ApplicationBecause we are foster based, we only do meet and greets with approved applicants. Please fill out an application on our website.
- Approve Application
- Meet the PetOnce approved, we can work on setting up a meet and greet.
Additional adoption info
If interested in one of our great dogs, please email us for an application. Once the application is returned and processed, we set up private meet and greets with approved adopters. Our adoption fee is generally $200.
