Areas K9 Kismet Dog Rescue Serves

We serve Orange, Los Angeles, and Ventura County. We are a foster based rescue and rely solely on the donations of others to cover foster expenses including but not limited to food, medical, and medication costs.

K9 Kismet Dog Rescue's Adoption Process

1. Submit Application

2. Interview

3. Home Check

All adopters must be willing to complete an adoption application and home check prior to placement of the animal. All members of the household are required to meet the pet prior to adoption. If other animals are in the home, a meet and greet among the animals is also required. We offer foster-to-adopt options if additional time is needed.

Adoption fees vary on animal and medical status, but in general are:

$200- senior dogs
$250- adult dogs
$300 - young dogs
$500- for puppies who have not yet received all vaccinations prior to entering our rescue - getting them ready to enter mainstream society is expensive! $200 is refundable upon completion of puppy training class.

$100- senior cats
$150- young and adult cats
$170- kittens

Prices listed above are maximum prices. If our costs to care for the animal are less than the amounts listed above, K9 Kismet will offer a discount.

All animals are vaccinated, spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption.

About K9 Kismet Dog Rescue

At K9 Kismet Dog Rescue, we call ourselves "the little rescue with a big heart". We believe in the ideology of quality over quantity. Our primary mission is to rescue dogs from high kill Southern California shelters and place them into loving foster homes until they are able to find their forever homes. We believe in compassionate rescues where we know the dog is on borrowed time and it is our honor to give it as many sunrises as its body is able to enjoy. We believe in helping pets stay in their homes by offering assistance, when funds allow, with medical, food and other supplies. We believe in treating all animals with dignity and respect and hope to share our views with others.
