Pawsitive Tails strives to be something different in the animal adoption community. We simply want to help dogs and puppies find new homes by matching the right dog to the right family.
Pawsitive Tails is a not for profit organization focused on finding forever homes for dog and puppies. We are not a shelter and we do not have a facility - all the dogs in our program live in foster homes.

We are a dog/puppy foster and adoption program operating in the Kansas City area. We have a huge heart for animals and want to see them find permanent loving homes.
Pawsitive Tails is an all-volunteer, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. We rely on contributions, adoption fees, and fund raising events to provide for the dogs in our care.

Adoption steps
- Submit Application
- Our first step is to have you fill out an application at www.pawsitivetailskc.org. Filling it out completely will make approval quicker
- Interview
- Our team will work on your application. Once approved, the foster parent will contact you for a meet and greet.
- Meet the Pet
- The foster will reach out to set up a meet and greet.
- Take the Pet Home
- If everyone agrees that the adoption is a good fit, you will sign our contract, pay their adoption fee and the dog can go home!

Please don't email inquiries, our first step is to have you fill out an application on the website. Most of your questions will be answered in the dogs' bio on our website. We do not schedule meet and greets without an approved application.

2. Adoption fees are listed on the website. Just click on the picture of the dog that you're interested in.
3. Once your app is approved, the foster will schedule a time with you for a meet and greet with your chosen dog/puppy
4. If all goes well, a home visit will be scheduled
5. Pick up your new furry friend and complete an adoption contract
We will text you a link that will let you sign our contract and pay their adoption fee.
