Rescue FAQs

KITTY RIOT TNR was created to network - bring attention and help find homes for abandoned and neglected friendly kitties that "cross my path" during TNR. KITTY RIOT is not a .org or non-profit. It's individuals armed with some common sense and compassion. We are animal lovers who know that street cats are not stray cats but rather abandoned and neglected animals. All cats in our care gets spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for FeLV/FIV and most get micro-chipped.

Additional adoption info

Cats and kittens can only be adopted to homes in the NYC/5 borough areas as I have to perform a home visit and deliver the cats.

There is an adoption fee of $125 per kitten/cat. All cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, FeLV/FIV tested, dewormed, treated for ear mites and fleas if necessary. Microchipping varies per cat. All medical documents will be provided.

All kittens up to six months will be adopted in pairs unless their future forever home has a friendly, playful feline companion already waiting for them. We do not adopt out kittens under 6 months old that have been raised with multiple siblings or buddies to a home with no other pets for the kitten to bond, socialize or play with. Cats 6 months or older can be adopted alone. These conditions are all on a case by case basis.

All potential adopters must complete an application form and an adoption contract will be provided upon approval.
