Another Chance Cat Rescue is a non profit cat and kitten rescue in Kansas City, MO. We rescue abandoned and orphaned cats/kittens and ready them for adoption. We are a no kill shelter. Thank you!
Another Chance Cat Rescue was founded on July 7, 2011, by Mina Herron in Kansas City, MO. Identifying the severe overpopulation of cats, Mina has rescued, fixed, and found homes to over 1,000 kitties since the 1980’s. “It is impossible to determine how many stray dogs and cats live in the United States; estimates for cats alone range up to 70 million”(ASPCA.com). Currently, ACCR has 240 cats and about 30 kittens awaiting adoption. Our motto is: Saving one animal will not change the world, but it will forever change world for that animal.
We do not receive any grant funding at this time and operate solely from adoption fees and donations. We rescue many animals off the streets and save many of our foster babies from euthanasia at other shelters. Monetary donations from you will assist with continued spay and neuters, medical care, expand our volunteer program, provide education for families, and move out of the current location of the shelter as it is a flood zone every time it pours rain.
Saturdays...or Caturdays is the best day for viewing, holding, playing with potential pets. Our hours are from 11 am up until 2 pm. We also will provide appointments when called (Mina 816-616-7725) or emailed (mherron@entrekc.com). Thank you!!!
